It is our pleasure to introduce to you, Dr. Nicole Crasto, a board-certified. She joins us with a desire to provide the best in orthodontic treatment for our patients. Dr. Crasto is from Wauseon, a small rural town outside of Toledo, OH. She married her college sweetheart, Jared, and they have a French bulldog, named Luna. She believes a patient’s needs always come first. Building relationships with patients has been and remains the most rewarding part of what she does. She is excited to get to know our patients and referring doctors as well all work together to provide the best in orthodontic care!

Excellent Hamilton Orthodontics

Dr. Crasto is a warm, genuine, and compassionate person who cares very deeply about her patients and treatment care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at University of Dayton, and her DDS from The Ohio State University where she finished in the top of her class after four years of dental school.

Dr. Crasto practiced general dentistry for four years in Pittsburgh, PA. While practicing as a general dentist, she loved seeing her patients’ orthodontic care create vast transformation in their smiles and wanted to be able to craft these life changing results as well. This led her to specialize in orthodontics at the Seton Hill University’s Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedic Residency Program in Pennsylvania. After completing her orthodontic residency, she moved to Arizona and practiced there until deciding to return to Ohio to be closer to family. We are extremely pleased that Dr. Crasto has joined our practice!

Not only is she well-versed in almost all philosophies of traditional metal braces, including twin and self-ligating ones, but she’s also adept at regular and early treatments. She’s a pro at Invisalign, a popular treatment option, and ceramic clear braces too! She brings with her the latest in orthodontic techniques and training. Dr. Crasto has received numerous awards over the course of her 10+ years of college and graduate school. She presented her finished cases to the American Board of Orthodontics and received board certification status.

Dr. Crasto is also passionate about being a lifelong learner, to better care for her patients! She excelled in a rigorous master’s continuum education course, where she studied under Dr. Thomas Pitts, a world renowned orthodontist, learning new cutting-edge techniques. This course has only been completed by only 300 other orthodontists around the world. You can be confident that she aims for high standards.

Meet Dr. Charles Manilla, Founding Orthodontist of Manilla Orthodontics

Dr. Charles Manilla, founder of Manilla Orthodontics, had been providing quality orthodontic care to patients in Butler County and the greater Cincinnati area since 1982. After 40 years of the rewarding experience of treating patients, Dr. Charles Manilla is now retired, a well-deserved milestone. He cherished the opportunity to build relationships with his patients and their families over the years. Treating first and second generations—and occasionally even a third—has been a significant accomplishment for Dr. Manilla. Reflecting on the countless joyful smiles his team has helped create fills him with immense pride!

Dr. Manilla has been a cornerstone of orthodontics in our community for 40 years, and he has now entrusted his legacy to Dr. Crasto at Queen City Orthodontics. The two doctors collaborated closely to ensure a smooth transition of both the practice and patient care. As Queen City Orthodontics begins this new chapter, they remain committed to honoring their established roots.

Education & Experience

A native of Huntington, West Virginia, Dr. Manilla received his undergraduate degree in biology from West Virginia University and his doctorate of dental surgery from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He continued his dental studies to complete a specialty certification in pediatric dentistry from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Charles Manilla then pursued a second specialty in orthodontics, earning a master’s degree in orthodontia from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, where he was awarded an academic fellowship. He also has served as an instructor in pediatric dentistry at Case Western Reserve’s Dental School.

As an orthodontist, Dr. Manilla offers a unique dual background. With his advanced level of training, he is both a specialist in orthodontics and a specialist in pediatric dentistry. In addition to being a certified provider of Invisalign.

Dr. Charles Manilla is Enjoying his Retirement!

Dr. Manilla and his wife, Holly, have been married for over 30 years. They love spending as much time as possible with their two grown children who are in New York and Chicago. Dr. Manilla has another talent that also produces as many smiles. Dr. Manilla is a talented magician! He often performed magic tricks for his patients. Dr. Manilla also performed his magic at the West Chester Community Foundation Dough Raiser, which supports quality of life activities and events for the local community.

She warmly urges parents to book an appointment and bring their little ones for a free initial consultation when they turn seven. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get expert advice from a doctor at this crucial stage of their development.

We encourage early orthodontic treatments, like braces or other appliances for children if it’s absolutely essential for their dental health or for psychosocial reasons. However, often there’s no need for early treatment at all. Sometimes, just a referral to an ENT specialist or stopping certain oral habits can make a huge difference in a child’s growth and development.
